Case Study

Our client asked us to design a simple, easy to use website as a channel to sell their seasoned dry firewood logs in Leeds and surrounding areas.

We provided design services, copywriting, server side coding to check delivery area by postcode, payment integration with PayPal and administration screens to allow the client to manage orders and adjust the price of the firewood.

The site needed to provide a facility to purchase the firewood logs as well as communicate a number of key pieces on information:

• As burning firewood for fuel is becoming more popular due to soaring gas and electricity prices, it was important to communicate that firewood logs are a cost effective alternative.
• In addition, the website talks about the advantages of using seasoned logs as well as tips on how to store logs to keep them in an optimal condition for burning.
• Also covered are the environmental benefits of using firewood logs compared to fossil fuels and the fact that they are carbon neutral.
• The company serves a very specific geographical area so it was important to communicate clearly that the company supplied firewood logs in Leeds, Ilkley, Harrogate, Wetherby and surrounding areas. We provided a postcode check facility so that customers could see whether they fell within the delivery area.
